"This remedy contains a selection of homeopathic remedies known to promote a soothing and calming effect". It is my confirmed view that homeopathic remedies are far too dilute to have any other than the placebo effect (inert, or "sugar pills"). Without knowing details of diet, and whether he has an anxiety disorder, I am limited in the suggestions I can provide. I suggest that you try to eliminate/minimise artificial colors, flavors, additives, sweeteners, (use xylitol, and/or stevia, from health food stores, or a LITTLE honey) MSG, preservatives, etc.
Avoid sodas/soft drinks, and High Fructose Corn Syrup. Most people in modern society today eat a poor diet, with far too much processed foods, contributing to lack of energy, depression, and anxiety. Eat more in accordance with your "nutritional type":- (20 question quiz http://www.naturalhealthcoach.com/tools ) or there is a book via the searchbar at http://www.mercola.com and enter "krill oil" & "omega 3" Ensure he gets a daily dose of fish, or krill oil suited to his size (half adult dose?). Take at least 2 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or its FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice.
"they get bad one time a year and this is that time" - WHY? The only thing I can think of is that his vitamin D3 levels would be at their lowest level for the year, right now! See http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/12/16/my-one-hour-vitamin-d-lecture-to-clear-up-all-your-confusion-on-this-vital-nutrient.aspx Go to a doctor and ask for a 25(OH)D, also called 25-hydroxyvitamin D, blood test. When you get the results, don’t follow the typical “normal” reference range, as these are too low. The OPTIMAL value that you’re looking for is 45-52 ng/ml (115-128 nmol/l)". The company which tests your levels has to be one of those using the correct form of test, and this topic is addressed via the searchbar at Mercola.com - "vitamin D3; testing". Also take a vitamin B complex which is certified as being 100% of natural origin.
Enter "children’s multivitamins" in the searchbar at mercola. View http://your-mental-health.8m.com/blank_25.html about anxiety, then page i. Learn, and teach him the acupressure temple massage/tapping for use in public places. Also see page 7 about BASIC HEALTHY DIET. Most people are suggestible, to some degree, so you could either seek professional hypnotherapy, or hypnosisdownloads.com has ones about controlling facial tics, and muscle spasms. One of the above, in my "scattergun" approach should hit the target; none are harmful, and they should all improve his general, and mental health.
