Some "muscle" spasms do come from a magnesium deficiency. You can’t talk to your doctor about these things because they are trained to treat symptoms. That means, you see this, give this med. They are pill pushers.

You can give him some magnesium and see what happens.

Put him on magnesium anyway, there really isn’t any harm, most people are pretty deficient to begin with. Worth a try. Me and my mother take it for muscle spasms, it works pretty well.

Talk to a dietician or a 2nd doctor and see what they think. And make sure you find an appropriate dose for your son before you start giving him a supplement.

Put him on magnesium, no hesitation.
Where are the tics located ??
They could be psychological … Tourette is not always a very convincing diagnosis.
Let him see a psychiatrist.
