Can Adderall increase tics for those who have Tourettes/Tic disorders?
I myself have Tourettes and ADD. And was wondering if Adderall(For ADD) Increase tics for those with Tourettes or Tic disorders.
And another concern is loss of appetite while on Adderall. Or Stuttering
And if you could name any other side effects for Adderall that’d be great. Thanks
Amphetamines have been known to make tics worse in patients with Tourette’s syndrome. Adderall is a mixed amphetamine product indicated to treat ADD/ADHD. Yes, they can cause loss of appetite as well. In a clinical setting, a doctor will need to weigh the risks vs. benefits of this type of treatment. In some cases, it may be appropriate.
