Desperate for diagnosis!!!!! (movement disorder)
This has nothing to do with self injury…..aside from the fact that I forgot my arm warmer! oh my goodness. But im covering some parts with annotations and most is not that noticeable because most of my scars on my arm are older and pale. If you think you will be triggered, dont watch this. But it barely shows.
This is about showing what my movement disorder is and what I deal with.
There is so little information out there about this kind of movement. It’s probably a tic disorder, but my movements dont look like the ones that are commonly described. I wish I could find a video with movements of this nature…..so…this is a video for those like me….this is a video about it for them
My appointment is Friday. Cross your fingers for me.
I’m feeling really self conscious right now. I know I look like a defective freak. ;(
I’ve talked about this in another video. Here is the link if you wanna see

My daughter was just diagnosed with a motor tic. She only tics when she is excited about about something. We were told to record her. In this video she is on playhousedisney.com making a slide for the characters to go down. As they go down the slide she really starts tic-ing, when they are done, she will make another slide and again start tic-ing when they go down. At the end and anytime she tics, if we ask her something she will always stop and talk but 9 times out of 10 will go back to the ticing. Over the past month she has also started jumping as she does this.
“Tic”
I am 19 years old and have been having movement problems every since I was 2. They have gradually gotten worse over the years. I have been diagnosed with Essential Tremor, Motor Tic Disorder, and Dystonia. I feel as though none of these cover what I experience. I believe it looks more like myoclonus. I do have a tremor not evident in this video though. If anyone has any suggestions as to what this may be please feel free to comment.

My take on the film, Niagara, Niagara.
This video is not comprehensive yet. I plan on doing some a bit more extensive, but I wanted to get this up while I was thinking about it.
Ivana Balic, MD, child and adolescent fellow at Southwest Mental Health Center, provides an overview of: common symptoms, pharmaceutical and behavioral treatments, possible treatment side effects, and co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses associated with tic disorders.
I made this video to answer a question about dealing with the public. Hopefully, this helps to inspire people to go out there and educate the public about TS. And in the meantime, remember to be tolerant of the natural reactions of people with and without disabilities. If we want tolerance, we should initiate.
I made this video to answer a question about genetics. Because of my tics, the question took a bit longer to answer than I had anticipated. Sorry about that. I will be refilming soon with graphics and more planned topic progression. But please comment and rate so I know there is interest.
