What is a good field to go into that deals with both psychology and music?
I’m looking into what I want to major in for college and also what I want to go into once I get out of college. I have both a love for music and psychology and was wondering about some careers that mix both of these together. I’ve looked into music therapy but can’t seem to find anything else. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Background music is often used to subtely manipulate how people think/feel, e.g.:
- music for movies and TV/radio advertisements
- ambient muzac for shopping centres, e.g. influence purchasing decisions; minimise theft/vandalism in car parks; set mood in hotels/restaurants
Such areas might be out-of-the-box mixes of psych & music.
