Not even the 5-year-old; in fact, not even the 3 children who lived "normal" lives upstairs, as they are all inbred. The 19-year-old will soon die, as is now painfully clear. The 18-year old male will suffer most as he is the oldest and lived his entire life in that prison. No, they will never be whole. For this reason, I believe no punishment is severe enough for him. God has surely bestowed tremendous mercy on this subhuman filth by allowing him to be captured and punished in this life, thus mitigating his punishment in the next...which from the looks of things, won't be too far off.<br><b>References : </b><br> Sadly, I don't think any of them will be able to live a normal life. I have been following it since it came out and am eager to find out what will happen with the children. Do you think Elisabeth will make a statement? I'd like to hear what she has to say about more of the details. I think the children will no matter what have a hard time adjusting to society not only because they had been locked away for so long, but are also results of incest. His insanity plea is ridiculous to me considering that it had been going on for 24 years and he obviously was making a very conscious effort to hide his secret-not to mention a previous rape charge and report from his friend on their visits to Thailand.
