I don’t know what to do or why I am so sensitive. I just know that it’s gotten to the point where I can’t cope with any kind of bad news. Whether it be something about a child being mistreated (this is the worst and hardest thing for me to deal with) or someone going hungry, or even something that happens on the other side of the planet, I get sick with worry for these people.
I know I’m just one person and I’m certainly not God and can’t help people I don’t even know exist, but it’s getting ridiculous and my own health and mental wellness is at stake. I look at other people who hear bad news and just shrug it off and I don’t understand. Me, I can’t eat and I worry about it for days or weeks.
Does anyone have any advice about how to cope? I would see a psychologist but I don’t have insurance and can’t afford to go, so please don’t suggest that. Thanks for your help.
Just do what you can and ask GOD to do the rest and you can also pray for yourself that he give you peace

Sometimes I twitch and sort of bark in public or in private. It’s almost like a shiver, my whole body moves, or (for example) I might lightly hit my desk during class. Sometimes I can feel it coming a little bit but I usually can’t stop it. I am fifteen and this has only been going on for a few months. Is there any way that I might have mild Tourettes or is it just a twitch?
It could be tourette’s. It depends on how often you do these things. People with tics or tourette syndome would do it constantly, like a hundred times an hour. If you just do this a few times a day, then there’s nothing to worry about.
If you do them very often, then I would say it’s definitely a tic disorder. Did you have tics as a young child? Maybe you didn’t even notice them, but if you did, then it is likely you have tourette’s.
If you never had tics before this, then it’s transient tic disorder. If it continues for another few months, then you would be diagnosed with tourette syndrome.
If your wondering about anything to do with this just send me an email.
I’m 15 too and I have tourette’s.
